Mutilation

Mutilation literally means causing permanent physical injury or disfigurement. Within BDSM, the term refers to extreme forms of bodily harm in which skin, tissue, or body parts are permanently altered or removed. Because this causes permanent damage, mutilation falls outside the bounds of safe and consensual BDSM play.
